I rode 37 miles on a windy Saturday just before Thanksgiving. The last 7 miles weren't pretty, but somehow later that afternoon when I got home, I still found myself looking up information about how to train for a century ride. I think that counts as a true love of cycling.
I'm almost as proud of myself for winning the Battle Against my Smoke Detector. A couple of nights before the ride I was awakened at 3:30 a.m. by a high pitched chirp. I was sick and desperately needed sleep, have fairly high ceilings, and I don't own a ladder. Hence, my pride in my victory.
